Mission

The Mission of the Birmingham Commercial REALTORS Council (BCRC) is to provide resources to REALTOR and Institute Affiliate members and their affiliated organizations to support their business through advocacy efforts and to create opportunities that advance the industry and the commercial real estate community at large.

Education

BCRC seeks out the best instructors locally and around the country to offer expert training to our members at below market cost.

Networking

BCRC provides networking events for its members to connect them with other Commercial Real Estate professionals including Brokers, Agents, Bankers, Developers, Architects, Lawyers, Engineers, Title Agents and Contractors to promote their business. BCRC’s events include the Commercial Real Estate Awards, Property Showcase, and Day of Education. BCRC also supports events of our Affiliate organizations – CCIM, SIOR IREM, and CRE. BCRC continues to look for more and new opportunities to network our members with those companies and organizations serving the Commercial Real Estate Industry.

Advocacy

BCRC champions the interest of its members and the Commercial Real Estate industry with political leaders at the local, state, and national level. BCRC provides opportunities for its members to meet government officials to express our support and concerns about existing and potential legislation that impacts our industry. Recent successes include the 1031 tax exchange lobby which helped delay action by congress and ongoing work to renew Historic Tax Credits in Alabama.
